Science Night
I'm posting late because I was busy making ice cream with Jaxon, Christopher, and Tony at Science Night. :)
You can make ice cream, too! You need 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a sandwich size ziploc baggie. Seal it!!! Put 6 tablespoons of rock salt and 3 cups of ice in a gallon size ziploc baggie. Put the small baggie in the big baggie. Seal that and start squishing. It will take about 6 minutes. The salt will lower the freezing point of the water; the ice will melt and get really, really cold. We used thermometers to measure the temperature. Water becomes ice at 32 degrees Fahrenheit, but our salt water got as cold as 11 degrees!!!
See you all tomorrow.
